Horspath welcomed new principal sponsors STRONG Pilates Oxford to the Recreation Ground for the first time for the Oxfordshire regional final of the Cawston Press Village Cup against Langford.
STRONG owner and director Khaleda Rahman along with three of her colleagues were on hand to see Horspath record an impressive 139-run win and secure a home tie in the national rounds against Glamorgan & Gwent champions Clydach on Sunday, June 21.
Having set up their branded gazebo on the boundary, the Stanton St John-based studio were able to engage with Horspath members and supporters among the crowd of around 200.
It was a reciprocal visit after Horspath's men and women's players were invited by STRONG to take part in 45-minute sessions at their fitness centre last month.
Horspath secretary Russell Smith said: "It was great to have STRONG at the Rec for one of our biggest games of the season.
"Their presence was much appreciated and we thank them for coming along and adding to the occasion. We look forward to welcoming them back in the future.
"As always, we are indebted to all of our sponsors, many of whom were also at the game supporting the team."
Horspath were also pleased to have the support of a number of parish councillors at the match as the club seeks to raise not just its profile but also that of the village with its cricketing exploits.
