Captain Amin Rafiq hailed Horspath's emphatic 139-run win over Langford in the Cawston Press Village Cup Oxfordshire Group Final as the 'complete performance'.
The skipper was delighted to see his side dominate the fourth-round tie at the Recreation Ground to become county champions for the fifth time in six years.
"It was a complete performance," he said after Horspath posted 256-6 before bowling Langford out for 117. "We were on the front foot from ball one and continued that through the course of the game.
"It is actually something we have been trying to work on in the last 18 months. Our approach to the game and always trying to play cricket in a positive manner.
"It was great to see the way we ran between the wickets today. That was a real positive.
"It is a big occasion for the club and everyone involved to show where we are at as a side and a club."
Dan Todd (53) and Rayaan Dogar (38) laid the base for Horspath, before Stephen Green (63no) and Amin (54) ensured they set a challenging total.
Amin continued: "I think the openers played the role perfectly because we play in a way we are trying with the top five and all through the batting line-up that the guys were very clear on how they approached the innings.
"It was also what I asked Steve to do in the morning and exactly what he did, That was amazing."
As for his own contribution, he added: "Honestly, it is nice to be back out playing. When you get injured it sets you back. I was just focused on what score we needed to get to for a winning total and to bat them out of the game."
Horspath's bowlers then stepped up to the plate with Ryan Hicks (2-34) making the early inroads before fellow left-arm spinner Sam Leslie (3-14) ripped through the middle order.
"I think we set some good plans and the guys executed those plans," said Amin. "It was clear to see from how the first innings had gone that the opposition had to come out hard to have a chance to chase it down.
"Sometimes if you can get a couple of wickets early all of a sudden you get on top.
"The catching was good and that is something as a first team group we have identified with Derval (Green). It is an area for us to really focus on - fitness and fielding. The guys are doing things off the pitch to be fitter and then doing the work on the field. It's good to see."
Reflecting on the club's record in the competition this decade, Amin commented: "I think since I have been involved in this period hopefully it shows the way we have dominated Oxfordshire cricket. It is a real testament to the standard we are trying to push ourselves to.
"It is great to see the club flourish in a strong Oxfordshire group, which is brilliant. In two weeks we will be back here. It is one step towards the goal of getting to Lord's."
Glamorgan & Gwent Group winners Clydach will be the opponents on Sunday, June 21 and Amin added: "Whenever you get to the national rounds you come up against top opposition and teams who are able to execute in all three disciplines.
"You have to put your best foot forward in a positive manner, play games to win and that is what we are looking to do.
"We know we have done this a few times as a squad. We need to see if we can go one step further and not look further ahead than that. We need to be focused and dialled in for that game in two weeks."
Top scorer Green has been a regular member of the side during their run of success in the competition.
He said: "It is a great achievement by the club and the players to retain it.
"That's four in a row. We love this competition. It is great for the club and the community. We have a big following and it is a great feeling to play out here with a big crowd. You can't beat that sort of feeling.
"I felt like I played a bit of an anchor role after we lost a few wickets in quick succession.
"I like to play my shots but I felt I had to hold back for another five overs. We wanted to get to the last five without losing too many wickets and then go hard. We were looking at 250."
Todd was pleased to play his part at the top of the order.
"I think we batted quite well," he said. "Everyone chipped in. We rotated the strike and hit the bad balls for six and boundaries.
"I think Greeny's knock was quite key to that. Rayaan was hitting it really well and set the tone, before Amin had a good knock.
"I think we just bowled well, got a couple of early wickets and it was a really good team performance."
While the side were dominating on the pitch, Todd added that they were spurred on by their supporters with the Horspath Barmy Army joining in the fun in fancy dress.
"It is a good win in front of the crowd," he said. "There were all sorts going on behind us with a traffic cone and a fox. That support definitely helps. It's key to our success and like our 12th man.
"I think the way we played today we can take on anyone. The way we went about it was really positive. We didn't hold back and played our cricket."
