Horspath 2nd recovered from a disastrous start to secure a 76-run win at home to Oxford Downs 2nd in Cherwell League Division 1.
The hosts crashed to 5-3 after choosing to bat with Gus Watts (4-36) wreaking havoc only for Horspath to hit back though Elliot Ruff (81) and Liam Turnbull (63) to post 262-8.
Erasmus Du Toit then claimed a five-wicket haul as Downs were bowled out for 186.
Ruff steadied the ship for Horspath with opener Dan Todd, who had made 23 when he was caught behind by Frankie Crouch off Bill Sharp to make it 63-4.
But then Ruff and Turnbull added 99 for the fifth wicket. Ruff was first to fifty and had hit 12 fours and a six when his 93-ball knock ended with Sam Cross taking the catch off Alex Ling.
Playing against his old club, Turnbull, supported by Saif Dogar (20), maintained the momentum, though, and brought up his half-century before falling his 88-ball innings, which included seven fours and a six, closed as Watts picked up his fourth wicket courtesy of Sharp's catch.
Acting skipper Will Eason hit successive sixes in an unbeaten 35 off 30 balls as a valuable 37 runs were added with Du Toit for the seventh wicket before the close.
Downs had reached 41 in reply when Du Toit made the breakthrough with Cross caught by Todd for 16.
Eason (2-25) struck twice to claim the key wickets of former Horspath all-rounder and Downs captain Tom Cosford for 17 with Ruff taking the catch, before he bowled opener Barnaby Talbot-Williams for 60.
Du Toit then returned to the attack to take four more victims for match figures of 5-73.
The win moves the side up to third ahead of Saturday's trip to Bicester & North Oxford, who lost to Aston Rowant 2nd by 45 runs.
Horspath 3rd's batting failed to fire in a five-wicket defeat at home to Aston Rowant 3rd in Division 3B.
The hosts were bowled out for 116 after choosing to bat, and despite the efforts of stand-in skipper Joe Gibbs (4-33), the visitors eased home at 117-5.
Openers Luke Finch (26) and Craig Wharton (17) gave Horspath a solid start, but after they both fell with the score on 49, Horspath collapsed to 55-5.
Oliver Taylor and Gibbs attempted to resurrect the innings with 25 apiece in a sixth-wicket stand of 53 only for the last five wickets to fall for eight runs. Jack North (4-13) and Ben Knowler (3-20) were the chief destroyers.
Horspath's total never looked like being enough as Rowant openers Jamie Revill (30) and Oli Shaw (28) scored quick runs before both were dismissed with the score on 77 by Zach Rayner and Gibbs respectively.
Gibbs added to his tally with three further victims, before his Rowant counterpart Yovaan Ilangakoon (26no) guided his side home.
Horspath stand in sixth place ahead of Saturday's trip to Bletchley Town, who lost by six wickets to Buckingham Town 2nd.
