Horspath finally celebrated their first win in the Home Counties Women's Cricket League - and they did it in style.
Having drawn a blank in their inaugural Division 3B season last year, the side, who have enjoyed success in the Home Counties Super 8s competition, were winless in five outings in the 11-a-side format this term after being hit by a spate of injuries.
But they finally cracked it at the 15th attempt with a resounding 107-run victory over West Ilsley at the Recreation Ground with applause ringing out from the clubroom as they left the field.
Star of the show was 15-year-old Frances Goodliffe, who returned superb figures of 5-10 from four overs to send the visitors reeling to 52 all out after Horspath had chosen to bat and posted 159-5.
Frances bowled four of her victims and trapped the other lbw as West Ilsley slumped to 19-7, before eventually succumbing inside 13 overs.
Captain Munaza Dogar (1-8) and Abigail Wallace (1-10) were the other wicket-takers, while Irum Ibrahim bowled her four overs at a cost of just 11 runs.
Earlier, Horspath had produced their best batting display of the season. Abigail (17) and Victoria Montgomery (14) provided a solid start with 42 for the first wicket, before Munaza weighed in with 26.
It was then left to Frances (23no) and Mary Pavlides (17no) to take the hosts to their final total with an unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 56.
Frances continued her good form with 3-28 as Horspath completed their season with a five-wicket reverse away to champions Oxford Downs.
Defending 79 after Sophia Pavlides opened up with 29 as Connie Cannell took 3-7, Frances's spell pegged Downs back before they got home at 80-5. Emma Page top-scored with 37.
Horspath, who also competed in the Oxfordshire Women's Hundred, had hinted their turn maybe near when suffering a narrow defeat at home to Dinton in early August.
The hosts were restricted to 100-6 after being put in to bat with Irum (22) and Saba Abbas (11) the main contributors.
Sophia (2-19) then led the Horspath attack which made Dinton battle for the runs before claiming victory at 102-7 with captain Hannah Lloyd (17no) and Molly Nelson (17) seeing them home. Saba, Victoria and Irum also took wickets.
Victoria (15) was the only batter to make any headway as Horspath were held to 62-9 in a nine-wicket defeat at home to Oxford Downs in July.
A week earlier the side suffered a five-wicket loss at West Ilsley. Abigail (19) and Bryony O'Neill (15) provided the backbone of Horspath's 81 all out, before Suzi Pegg hit an unbeaten 43 to steer the Berkshire hosts home at 82-5. Aunshka Satish (2-16) was the chief Horspath wicket-taker.
The side had gone down by nine wickets at home to Freeland West Oxfordshire Warriors in their previous game after opening the season with a nine-wicket loss at Dinton despite posting 155-4.
Irum, with 11 fours in a run-a-ball 58 not out, and Abigail (47no) shone in an unbroken fifth-wicket stand of 111 in Horspath's innings after they were inserted.
However, it wasn't enough as openers Freya McCrea (81no) and Sofia Hatton (47) powered Dinton to 158-1 with Irum claiming the only wicket to fall.
Horspath are now planning their end-of-season presentation evening to be held in the Clubroom on Saturday, October 4, before looking forward to a winter programme of indoor nets and league action.
