Horspath took their unbeaten sequence in the Oxfordshire Under 11 League to four games with a five-wicket victory at Abingdon Vale.
With overcast skies and a green pitch, captain Ayman Ashad elected to bowl first in the Pool 4 encounter and a disciplined display saw Vale held to 121-4 from 20 overs.
Using 10 bowlers, the visitors kept their lines tight, backed by alert fielding highlighted by a sharp run out from Fife Gillick before Ethan Berry and Oscar Moore took key wickets.
Horspath showed growing maturity with the bat, led by Joseph Creed and Rayan Puliyadi with 26 retired not out apiece.
Laurie Edwards added a steady 17, with support from Zach Crichton and despite losing wickets, the team never panicked, securing victory at 123-5 with two overs to spare.
Coach Ashad Ali reflected: “This win was about more than runs or wickets - it showed how the players are growing as a team and as people. They’re starting to play for each other.
"They’re learning not just cricket, but how to bounce back from failure, how to stay humble in success, and how to be kind, honest, and respectful.
"Cricket teaches resilience like few other sports. That’s what makes this journey so rewarding.”
The side are in action again against Oxford at the Recreation Ground on Sunday.
