Wicket-keeper batsman George Crawford plays his last game for Horspath this season on Saturday before flying to Australia to continue his University studies.
The 20-year-old University of East Anglia student is on a split three-year economics course which will see him do the final year at Monash University in Melbourne.
He will make his farewell appearance for Horspath 3rd at home to Dorchester-on-Thames in Cherwell League Division 4B, having hit back-to-back half-centuries in the last two Saturdays.
George, who will stay with his cousin, Joe Hickey, was also a member of the Horspath side which won the Oxfordshire area final of the Voneus Village Cup, taking two catches in the 228-run victory over Aston Rowant.
Looking forward to going Down Under, he said: "I am really excited and I hope to play some cricket over there for Beaumaris CC.
"I'll also be there when the Ashes are on, so I'll be looking to go to the MCG for a day out."
To mark George's swansong, the club are giving him a send-off on Saturday evening with a BBQ. All welcome.
