Horspath 2nds' eight-match unbeaten run in Cherwell League Division 2 ended with a 34-run defeat at third-placed Westbury following a devastating spell of 9-34 from George Dicks.
Having bowled the hosts out for 110 after putting them in to bat, the leaders crashed to 76 all out on a pitch of low bounce with Dicks doing the damage.
In a match where 19 wickets were either bowled or lbw, with the only exception being Horspath's Elliot Ruff's hit wicket, Westbury reached 47-1 with Liam Kovel and Tom Gurney making 22 apiece.
But then the visitors worked their way through the Westbury order with the seam and spin combination of Liam Turnbull (4-19) and Joval Calix (3-7) leading the way as extras top-scored with 27.
However, Horspath also found runs hard to come by as Dicks had a day to remember, completing his first five-wicket haul before going on to return career-best figures from 13.1 overs as Turnbull (20) top-scored.
The loss sees Horspath's lead at the top cut to 12 points with Westbury moving up to second. The side will look to bounce back on Saturday when they visit third-placed Tiddington, who beat Leighton Buzzard Town by 80 runs.
