Horspath made it back-to-back wins in Home Counties Premier Cricket League Division 2 with an exciting five-run victory over Thame Town at Church Meadow.
The triumph, coming a week after the home win over Falkland, was built on a terrific four-wicket opening burst from Asad Rafiq, which reduced the hosts to 28-4 in reply to Horspath's 181 all out after being put in to bat.
However, Thame rallied in spirited fashion with Jonathon Jelfs (78) leading the fightback before Tyron Eyles claimed the final wicket as the home side fell short on 176 all out.
Asad had got Horspath off to a dream start in Thame's innings, striking with the fourth and fifth deliveries of the opening over to remove Adam Ali lbw and Sammy Lion-Cachet caught behind by Rob Wight, making it 0-2.
The Horspath seamer had to wait until his fourth over to strike again when Farid Butt was caught by Josh Richardson to leave Thame reeling at 11-3, before he caught and bowled Lloyd Paternott for 18.
Derval Green then switched ends with success as Ubaid Kiani edged behind to leave the hosts 52-5. Jelfs and Alex Browne set about repairing the damage, taking Thame to 89-5 at tea.
They had moved the score on to 100 after play resumed when Browne was run out by Tom Nichols for 32.
Jelfs kept Thame in the hunt, though, bringing up his half-century, before Green struck again when Dinushka Malan was caught by skipper Amin Rafiq.
Richardson then took the key wicket of Jelfs, who gave Wight a third victim to make it 159-8, with his 92-ball stay including 15 fours.
Nichols moved Horspath to the brink with a second run out to remove Devane Warner and leave Thame 166-9.
Captain Hassam Mushtaq continued to inch Thame nearer the target, though, before he was bowled by Eyles for 18 to secure a tremendous Horspath victory. Asad finished with 4-22 from 11 overs.
Earlier, Horspath had scored freely while losing wickets at regular intervals with the side bowled out off 43 overs.
Richardson (39) top-scored, while Eyles made a brisk 31 and Green chipped in with a run-a-ball 28 as the side struggled to establish partnerships in the face of fine bowling from Malan (5-61).
The win moves Horspath up two spots to fourth ahead of Saturday's home game against second-placed Datchet, who won by five wickets at home to Falkland.
