Sravan Konidena claimed 4-17 and Tyron Eyles smashed 49 as holders Horspath racked up a hat-trick of wins in Hartwell Trophy Pool 1 with a four-wicket victory over Oxenford at Oriel College Sports Ground.
Konidena delivered a stunning triple-wicket maiden with three wickets in four balls to reduce last season's Wilf Bennett Trophy winner to 12-3 after they had elected to bat.
However, Horspath were unable to press home their advantage as Geo Joseph and Sattyam Bankar led a fightback with 67 for the fourth wicket before the latter was bowled by Josh Richardson for 27, making it 79-4
Joseph kept up the attack, completing a fine half-century before he was caught at long off by Derval Green off Josh Cummings for 57 off 47 balls with eight fours and a six.
With the tail chipping in, Oxenford closed on 139-9 as Konidena returned to pick up his fourth wicket.
Eyles led Horspath's run chase with shots all round the ground, supported by Green, who weighed in with a run-a-ball 14, including a mighty six over long on, as the visitors reached 44-2.
Asad Rafiq maintained the momentum with Eyles, who was on the brink of a half-century, having hit six fours and two sixes off 32 deliveries when he was caught and bowled by Arsalan Khattak (2-15) for 104-4.
With the light fading, Asad made 29 from 25 balls to keep Horspath on track before being caught behind by Joseph off Bankar (2-35).
That left victory to be secured with an over to spare by his brother, Amin (16no), and Mohson Rana, who clinched the win at 145-6 in style with a sweetly struck six over long off.
Horspath complete their group fixtures at home to Oxford next Tuesday (July 8) knowing that victory will secure top spot and a semi-final place on Tuesday, August 5.
