George Crawford hit a maiden Cherwell League half-century as Horspath 3rd secured a four-wicket win at home to Chipping Norton in Cherwell League Division 4B.
The opener made 56 from 87 balls to set Horspath on the way to victory at 138-6 after they had put the visitors in to bat and bowled them out for 137.
He shared a first-wicket stand of 61 with Ehsan Hussain (18), before bringing up his fifty with one of ten fours.
Wickets fell to Laurie Husband (3-26) and Danny Molyneux (2-20), before skipper Mohson Rana saw Horspath home, hitting two sixes in his unbeaten 33 off 19 deliveries.
Earlier, Luke Heritage (4-34) had led the way with the ball, wrapping up Chippy's innings with two wickets from consecutive deliveries.
Jason Cardy picked up 2-18 including top scorer Husband (33), while Josh Cummings produced another fine opening spell of 1-12 from 10 overs with five maidens.
Horspath remain third ahead of Saturday's trip to sixth-placed Challow & Childrey 2nd, who lost by eight wickets to runaway leaders Kingston Bagpuize.
Robin Pykett's five-wicket haul wasn't enough to save Horspath 4th from a 52-run defeat at Steventon in Division 6C.
The veteran left-arm spinner took 5-50 as Steventon were held to 183-8 after choosing to bat, with good support from Harsh Singh (2-42).
Pykett's victims included opener Lee Ainsworth (43) and Vishnukumar Peethambaram (32).
Horspath never really threatened the target, though, being bowled out for 131 with Dhanush Balaji making a run-a-ball 36 as Filbin Mathew took 4-11 off 12 overs.
Despite the loss, the side remain eighth ahead of Saturday's home game against Abingdon Vale 2nd, who beat Stokenchurch 2nd by 91 runs.
