Konidena in super all-round show for Horspath

28 Apr 2025

New signing Sravan Konidena continued his impressive pre-season form with a fine all-round display in Horspath's eight-wicket friendly win at home to Didcot.

The former Wargrave all-rounder took 4-28 as Didcot collapsed to 135 all out off 30.5 overs after electing to bat and then made 61 retired not out to set Horspath on the way to victory at 137-2.

Dian Van Der Westhuizen (39) top scored for the visitors, before becoming one of Konidena's victims and it was left to acting skipper Josh Richardson (3-8) to mop up the tail.

Konidena, who had hit a half-century in the opening friendly against Banbury, then repeated the feat with his runs coming from 44 balls with seven fours and four sixes.

Tom Nichols chipped in with 29 before Stephen Green (17no) saw Horspath home inside 20 overs.
