Lachlan Biggs hit a maiden Cherwell League half-century as Horspath made it a magnificent seven wins out of seven at the top of Division 1 with a seven-wicket victory at Leighton Buzzard Town.
Faced with Buzzard's 133 all out after the hosts had been put in to bat, the 19-year-old Australian hammered an unbeaten 51 off 48 balls to steer the leaders home at 134-3.
His superb knock included nine fours and he sealed victory in style with four successive boundaries at the start of the 29th over.
Opener Tom Coleman (38) had set the visitors on the way, sharing a second-wicket stand of 51 with Stephen Green, who continued his good run of form with a quickfire 30.
Earlier, Horspath's bowlers ripped through Buzzard's batting with skipper Will Eason (2-12) and new ball partner Asad Rafiq (2-39) reducing the hosts to 21-3.
Alfie Rushton (43) held up the visitors, before becoming the second of two victims for off-spinner Amin Rafiq (2-31). It was then left to the leg spin of Josh Richardson (4-17) to polish off the tail.
With second-placed Banbury 2nd losing to East Oxford, Horspath increased their lead at the top to 35 points ahead of next Saturday's home game against Aston Rowant 2nd.
That's the first leg of a double-header with Rowant next weekend with the side on the road for the Pullinger Cup quarter-final on Sunday (1pm).
Before then, Horspath are away to Tiddington in the Hartwell Senior Cup on Tuesday (6pm).
Horspath 2nd's spirited fightback wasn't quite enough as the side fell to a two-wicket defeat at home to Wolverton Town in their mid-table Division 2 encounter.
Having posted 213 all out after being put in to bat with Dan Todd making a fine 59, Horspath were up against it as the visitors raced to 161-1.
Asad Mahmood smashed four fours and 11 mighty sixes in a brilliant 96 off 60 balls, sharing a second-wicket stand of 145 with skipper Ahmed Mujtba (39).
But when the big-hitting opener was run out by Horspath captain Ryan Hicks just short of his century, it triggered a collapse with seven wickets going down for 47 runs.
However, it couldn't stop Wolverton getting over the line at 214-8 despite the efforts of Luke Heritage (2-41) and Hicks (2-63).
Earlier, Todd had shone in Horspath's innings, making his second fifty for the side this season plus one for the 3rd XI.
His runs came from 74 deliveries and included nine fours and a six as Atif Akhlaq (4-53) and Haris Qureshi (3-54) pegged Horspath back.
The side are away to Minster Lovell next Saturday.
Horspath 3rd, fresh from beating then Division 3A leaders Bledlow Village, were brought back down to earth with a six-wicket defeat at home to Aston Rowant 3rd.
The hosts were shot out for 90 after choosing to bat with Jack North (4-21), Jacob Eaton (3-33) and Joe Hill (2-17) doing the damage.
Rowant then raced to 91-4 off 15.3 overs with Josh Cummings and Joe Gibbs taking two wickets apiece. Opener Chris North (43) set the visitors on the way to victory, which was secured by captain Ben Knowler (28no).
The side are away to current table-toppers Brackley on Saturday.
Youngster Pavlos Pavlides impressed with a fine knock of 39 in Horspath 4th's seven-wicket defeat at Watlington in Division 5C.
Playing just his third match, the 13-year-old was the only batsmen to shine as the visitors were bowled out for 107 after electing to bat. Charl Maughan (4-23) and Neil Maguire (3-25) were the chief destroyers.
Watlington then eased to 108-3 off 34.2 overs with Robin Pykett's 11-over spell of 1-15 including five maidens. Opener Talib Hussein hit 38, before Steve Strong (33no) saw Watlington home.
The side entertain Abingdon Vale 2nd on Saturday, and then are away to Risinghurst in the Telegraph Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.
