Horspath 2nd stormed 14 points clear at the top of Cherwell League Division 1 following a hard-fought 28-run victory over Dinton at the Recreation Ground.
Going into the game, the hosts were level on points at the summit with Bicester & North Oxford, but their draw with Banbury 2nd allowed Horspath to take the initiative.
Having posted 223 all out after electing to bat, Horspath bowled Dinton out for 195 with captain Ryan Hicks (4-52) and fellow left-arm spinner Sam Leslie (4-64) doing the damage.
They were well supported by seamer Tom Gordon with 2-29.
Leslie's haul included Ashan Malik, who hit 64 off 67 balls with seven fours and four sixes before he was stumped by George Crawford.
The teenager also claimed the important wicket of Emile Jansen Rensberg for 37 to make it 190-9 with the catch being taken at long on by Dan Todd, who then snapped up Usman Manawar at silly point off Hicks to claim victory.
Earlier, Horspath were made to battle for their runs. Todd opened up with 27, before Elliot Ruff top-scored with a fluent 44, featuring in a fourth-wicket stand of 66 with Will Eason (22).
Crawford then steered the home side to their final total with 43 before being the last man out as Tom Maciejewski (4-63) led the way for Dinton.
Horspath will look to consolidate their position at the top on Saturday when they visit ninth-placed Westbury, who lost by five wickets to Aston Rowant 2nd.

A much-changed Horspath 2nd bowed out of the Pullinger Cup with a 12-run defeat by Cumnor in the quarter-final at the Recreation Ground on Sunday.
Having restricted the visitors to 143-9 after they had chosen to bat in the T20 competition for Tiers 1 and 2 sides, the hosts fell short on 131-9.
Opener Matt Launchbury smashed four fours and five sixes in making 58 off 37 balls in Cumnor's innings.
He put on 62 for the fourth wicket with captain Tom Murkett (20) as Josh Cummings (2-12) and Luke Heritage (2-18) produced good spells for Horspath.
However, the hosts' run chase never really got going as wickets fell to Onslowe Tappin (3-20), Ben Desmond (2-13) and Will Simpson (2-24).
Joe Gibbs (26) top-scored after opener Ehsan Hussain made 21 and Leslie 20, before Hayden Moon delighted the home supporters with an unbeaten 15 as the target proved out of reach.
