Horspath are looking for additional clubs to join in their 8-a-side Softball Cricket Festival for girls aged 9-12 on Sunday (June 21) from 9am-11.15am.
Any club which has players that would like to join the festival on Sunday, should fill in the registration form by Friday (12pm).

If your club is unable to field 8 players, please bring along as many as you can as teams will be organised on the day, so that the girls get the chance to play cricket.

Horspath Under 11 Girls will be taking part in the festival after winning their first fixture by 18 runs at Aston Rowant.
The side posted 67-0 for a net score of 77 with one player hitting a six, before holding Rowant to 59-2 for a net 59.
The girls' matches will be followed by a Women's Softball Cricket Festival in the afternoon with nine teams headed by Horspath taking part.
The day is being run in conjunction with Oxfordshire Cricket and there will also be plenty happening off the pitch to get involved in.
With thanks to MetroBank, a free to attend Coaches Networking event (9.30am-11.30am) and an Ignite Umpiring Essentials training session (1-3.30pm) for volunteers have been arranged.
The coaching event is for the coaches of girls' cricket and anyone coaching larger numbers at clubs or schools wanting to gain some development in their ability to coach groups.

The umpiring session is for volunteers, parents, teachers or anyone wanting to learn about umpiring, so that they are able to help officiate games at their clubs or schools or those who want to further develop their knowledge and understanding of cricket.
It will involve attending a workshop with an accredited umpire who will run through the basics of umpiring from signals to help individuals gain confidence in officiating a match, and then standing as as assistant umpire during the softball festival.
