Elliot Ruff's knock of 76 set Horspath 2nd up for an excellent 96-run win over Cherwell League Division 1 leaders Buckingham Town at the Recreation Ground.
Going into the game in third place, the hosts were in trouble at 44-4 after being put in to bat.
But Ruff led the fightback, supported by Tom Gordon (14), in a stand of 67 for the fifth wicket.
He made it back-to-back Cherwell half-centuries following his 81 against Oxford Downs 2nd two weeks ago with a four through third man.
His 98-ball innings, which included 10 fours and two sixes, finally ended when he was bowled by Joe Clark to leave Horspath 141-6.
Jehan Mohammed took up the mantle with an unbeaten 41 to steer the hosts to 191-8 as Abdi Zulfiqar finished with 3-58 after Qadeer Hussain had taken 2-20.
Buckingham were reduced to 30-3 with Ed Oakley, Gordon and Mohammed claiming a victim apiece, while Sammy Parker went wicketless but conceded just 13 runs from eight overs.
Left-arm spinner Sam Leslie (4-21) and seamer Joe Gibbs (2-13) then worked their way through the rest of the order as the table-toppers were toppled for 95.
The win moves Horspath up to second ahead of their trip next Saturday to bottom club Cumnor, who drew at new leaders Aston Rowant 2nd.
