Josh Cummings returned stunning figures of 7-20 to fire Horspath 3rd to a seven-wicket win at home to Thame Town 2nd in Cherwell League Division 3B.
The seamer bowled five of his victims during an impressive spell of 12.3 overs, which included five maidens, to send Thame tumbling to 63 all out after they had been put in to bat.
Opening the bowling he had to wait until his sixth over before claiming his first victim after Zach Rayner had made the breakthrough.
But with Thame 41-1 there was no stopping Cummings as he bowled opener George Patey for 26 before ripping through the visitors' batting, twice claiming two wickets in an over.
His figures were a Cherwell best but short of the career-best 7-14 he took against The Baldons in the Village Cup three years ago.
Horspath were reduced to 35-3 in reply before Dougal Main (21no) and opener Luke Finch (11no) saw them home at 64-3.
The win moves the side up to fifth ahead of Saturday's trip to leaders Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts, who beat Buckingham Town 2nd by 63 runs.
Rayaan Dogar smashed 50 off 32 balls as Horspath 3rd made it a double success at the weekend with a seven-wicket win at Challow & Childrey 2nd in the Airey Cup first round.
Having restricted Challow to 122-9 after they had chosen to bat in the competition for Tier 3 and 4 sides, Horspath raced to victory with Dogar leading the charge.
His knock included six fours and two sixes, before he was bowled by Harry Robson after sharing an opening stand of 81 with Dan Todd (36), who was out shortly before the win was secured at 126-3 inside 16 overs.
Earlier, Sam Leslie (4-26) had shone with the ball in Division 3A leaders Challow's innings with his haul including opener Nick Moorman (37).
Horspath are at home in the quarter-finals on Sunday, July 12 to Witney Mills, who received a bye.
Captain Craig Wharton's second fifty of the season wasn't enough to save Horspath 4th from a three-wicket defeat at Stokenchurch 2nd in Division 6C.
The opener made 55 from 73 balls with nine fours as the visitors posted 179-7 after being put in to bat.
He shared an opening stand of 97 with Tom Smith (46), before Ben Wise chipped in with 29 only for the side to be pegged back by Awaiz Usman (4-59) and Paul Maddock (3-31).
Horspath then had Stokenchurch in trouble at 42-4 with Charan Voruganti (2-29) making inroads but Richard Sherwood (72) and Usman (41) turned the tide with 109 for the fifth wicket.
Ollie Osborne (2-46) and Sifat Ullah Habibi (2-49) picked up their first wickets for the club but Stokenchurch got over the line at 180-7.
Nest Saturday Horspath are at home to Bledlow Village, who drew with Haddenham.
