Tyron Eyles hit a maiden Home Counties Premier Cricket League half-century as Horspath's tail came to the rescue to set up a 33-run win over Datchet in Division 2 at the Recreation Ground.
The hosts were in trouble at 104-6 after being put in to bat when stand-in skipper Derval Green and Asad Rafiq started the fightback to steer Horspath to 284 all out.
Green had smashed four sixes in making 44 from 28 balls as the pair added 72 for the seventh wicket when he fell to a brilliant diving catch by spinner Sulaiman Akhtar off his own bowling.
However, Eyles then joined Rafiq to continue the rearguard action with 61 for the eighth wicket.
Rafiq had moved on to 43 when he holed out to Nick Kimber off David Scott.
But Eyles kept up the attack supported by Jehan Mohammed with the pair adding a valuable 41 for the ninth wicket.
Eyles had just reached 50 with six fours and two sixes when his 33-ball knock ended as he skied a drive off Elliott Saunders to Tom Bevan.
It sealed an excellent recovery by Horspath, though, after the top order had failed to fire with Tom Coleman (24) and Josh Richardson (23) both making starts without going on to consolidate.
Datchet, who had won their opening two games, shared the wickets around with two apiece for Daniyal Akhtar (2-27), Scott (2-27), Jack Laraman (2-43) and Sulaiman Akhtar (2-74).
Green then struck early to reduce the visitors to 6-1 when he bowled Joshua Jayasingh in the second over, before Laraman and Rahim Akhtar put on 55 for the second wicket.
Ryan Hicks broke their stand when Laraman skied a leading edge back to the bowler for 43, before the left-arm spinner followed up by having Akhtar caught by Sravan Konidena in the covers.
Horspath tightened their grip when Scott hit Eyles's first ball to Josh Richardson at point to leave Datchet 99-4.
Tom Bevan (37) and Nick Kimber (33) rallied the visitors with 52 for the fifth wicket before Konidena returned to the attack and accounted for the pair in the space of four deliveries with two cracking deliveries to hit the top of off stump.
The Oxfordshire seamer rocked Datchet again in his next over when Joe Thomas picked out Richardson at point to make it 159-7.
Hicks then claimed his third victim, accepting a return catch from Sulaiman Akhtar for 20 to leave Datchet 188-8.
However, Daniyal Akhtar and Leo Fountain kept the Berkshire club's hopes alive with 63 for the ninth wicket. Their partnership was finally broken when Akhtar was run out by Viv Narayan going for a second to deep square leg.
Green wrapped up the victory by bowling Saunders with the next delivery as Datchet were 251 all out. Hicks (3-39), Konidena (3-45) and Green (2-44) were the mainstays of the Horspath attack.
It made it back-to-back wins for the side, who move up to fourth ahead of the trip to leaders Gerrards Cross on Saturday. The Bucks club made it three wins out of three with a five-wicket triumph at home to Wargrave.
