Dougal Main smashed a brilliant unbeaten 137 to fire Horspath 2nd to a two-wicket win at Sandford St Martin in their opening pre-season friendly.
Chasing Sandford's 223 all out after the hosts chose to bat, Horspath were 43-3 when Main came to the crease.
He proceeded to take the home attack apart with his 85-ball blitz including 15 fours and nine sixes to steer Horspath home at 227-8.
Main put on 71 for the fourth wicket with new recruit Tom Robinson (30), before maintaining the onslaught in an eight-wicket partnership of 70 with another newcomer, Jamie Kerr. James Risbridger (3-28) was the hosts' most successful bowler.
Earlier, Main had taken 3-36 in Sandford's innings with Kerr returning 2-27 as Chris Thompson cracked 83 from 88 deliveries with 10 fours and five sixes.
Horspath are at home in their next pre-season friendly against Oxford University Authentics on Saturday.
