Horspath mark the end of the Home Counties Premier Cricket League and Cherwell League campaigns on Saturday with an End-Of-Season Party at the club featuring live music from Up The Junction (7.30).
The band, named after Squeeze's No 2 hit in 1979, play classic, crowd-pleasing covers of songs by artists ranging from The Jam and Oasis to Elvis and Crowded House.
In keeping with the music being from a bygone era, the dress for the evening is retro sports shirts - cricket, football, rugby, hockey etc - from yesteryear.
Food has also been arranged with a pizza van booked to be at the club from 6-9pm.
Entry is free with the live band being subsidized by a Lottery Bonus Ball draw. Please see Diddy or ask at the bar to buy your numbers at £2 each. Congratulations to Henry Edwards, who scooped the £59 jackpot last Saturday by correctly selecting No 16.
Earlier in the day, the 1st XI bid to complete a strong first season back in the Home Counties at Datchet where they will attempt to secure fourth place, while there is much to be played for at the Recreation Ground.
The 2nd XI have a Cherwell Division 2 title decider against Westbury, while the 3rd XI can clinch promotion from Division 4B with victory over Challow & Childrey 2nd.
Meanwhile, the 4th XI complete their season, which has seen a number of promising youngsters and veteran campaigners make notable contributions, away to Abingdon Vale 2nd.
Please support the teams and the live music event as the curtain comes down on the league season.
