Tailender Daniel Stanley hit a maiden Cherwell League half-century in Horspath 3rd's battling draw at home to Oxenford 2nd in Division 4B.
The side, which included Chris Penner having travelled up from Devon, were deep in trouble at 94-8 after being put in to bat when Stanley came to the crease.
Their plight increased further with Ansh Chande falling for 29 to make it 107-9.
But Stanley, well supported by Dhishanth Benolin (7no), struck 51 from 59 balls with seven fours before being run out to take Horspath to 156 all out. Waqas Mir (4-47) was the pick of the Oxenford attack.
Horspath then reduced the visitors to 34-3 with Nishi Ranasinghe (2-28) leading the way.
As the seam and spin of Joe Gibbs (3-29) and Julius Leslie (2-32) made further inroads, Horspath held the upper hand at 84-6 only for Malitha Ratnaweera's patient 34 to keep Oxenford in the hunt.
The last over, bowled by Leslie, arrived with the visitors needing 14 to win, but they could only muster seven to close on 150-8.
Horspath drop a place to third ahead of Saturday's trip to runaway leaders Kingston Bagpuize, who beat Chipping Norton by 83 runs.
