Horspath will be looking to build on the progress made so far in their debut season in the Home Counties Women's League when they entertain Maidenhead & Bray at the Recreation Ground on Sunday (1pm).
The side have taken a step forward in each of their opening three games in Division 3 South in what is very much a learning curve.
In their latest encounter at the Rec, Horspath posted their best score with 139-7 off 25 overs after being put in to bat by Freeland West Oxfordshire Warriors.
Munaza Dogar starred with an unbeaten 40, while Bridget Wise chipped in with a handy 17 down the order as Jess Summers and Rachel Morris took two wickets apiece for the visitors.
However, Freeland's batting proved too strong with Martine Summers (51no) and Beth Soanes (42no) leading their side to a nine-wicket victory at 140-1 with 2.2 overs to spare.
Irum Ibrahim (1-17) was the pick of the Horspath bowlers, while there were also tidy spells from Frances Goodliffe and Lucy Parker.
Horspath's second game was at home to Cookham Dean, who won the toss and elected to field first on a very hot afternoon.
Tracey Isaac top-scored with 21 as the hosts made 80-9 with the last pair of Frances Goodliffe and Victoria Montgomery adding useful runs to finish unbeaten at the close and ensure the side batted out the 25 overs.
A lively opening spell from Frances restricted the visitors' run rate with good support in the field led by wicket-keeper Bernadette Urtz.
Cookham Dean's batters couldn't be dislodged, though, until Tracey produced an excellent delivery to bowl captain Caitlin Cairns for 20.
However, fellow opener Freya Hayden (30no) was able to guide her side to the target at 83-1 off 15.4 overs, sealing a nine-wicket victory with a sparkling four.
In their first game in the league, Horspath made 63 at home to Steventon after again being put in to bat.
Tracey attempted to hold the innings together with 22 as Nicole Harper (3-2) and Sarah Jones (3-11) shone for the visitors.
Horspath's bowlers hit back, though, with Frances taking 2-25, while Tracey and Munaza picked up a wicket apiece. However, with Harper hitting 33 at the top of the order, Steventon claimed a six-wicket win at 67-4.
The side will be hoping for better fortune this Sunday. All supporters are welcome.
