ALFIE Turner led the way with a half-century as
Horspath 2nd rattled up the runs before having to settle for a dull draw at Didcot in Cherwell League Division 1.
Turner top-scored with 58 in Horspath's 256-6 off 53 overs after they were put in to bat. His runs came off 66 balls and included nine fours.
It was his second consecutive league fifty after he made 51 for the 3rd XI two weeks ago.
Dominic O'Connor (36), Pete Healey (33) and Shiryar Ahmed (32) all chipped in before Ryan Hicks ensured the innings finished with a flourish by smashing an unbeaten 48 from 35 deliveries with three fours and three sixes.
After losing early wickets to seamers Erasmus Du Toit (4-41) and Ed Oakley (3-43), Didcot blocked out for a draw at 106-7 off 47 overs.
Skipper Joey Todd rang the bowling changes in a bid to entice the hosts, but they showed no interest in a run chase with captain Jacob Townsend's painstaking 28 off 110 balls leading the rearguard action.
Horspath remain in third spot ahead of Saturday's home game against runaway leaders Bicester & North Oxford.
Rob Wight shone with a half-century as
Horspath 3rd dominated their drawn encounter at home to East & West Hendred in Division 3A.
Wight made 53 off 70 balls with seven fours and two sixes to help set the hosts on the way to 242-9 after they were put in to bat.
Charlie Turner (35), opener Dan Todd (34), Dougal Main (34) and Rayaan Dogar (30) were also in the runs as Hendreds' skipper Johnathan Orchiston took 4-46.
Reuben Barksfield (34) and Andrew Francis (29) put on 70 for the visitors' first wicket.
But after they were parted by Main, the visitors were tied down by spinner Anoop Reddy, who returned admirable figures of 4-30 from 15 overs as the visitors blocked out for the draw at 151-5.
The 3rd XI were frustrated by the rain on Sunday when their Airey Cup semi-final at home to Oxenford was washed out with the visitors 27-1 after eight overs.
The two sides will try again in the Cherwell League's competition for Tier 3 and 4 teams at the Recreation Ground this Sunday.
