Unfortunately, we are nearing the end of the seasonal cricket season and it is now time to say that this Wednesday 10th August will be the last youth training session of this season. We have certainly been very lucky in having one of the highest training sessions seasons with very few postponed due to the British weather conditions.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported in running the teams. It is a key part of each season and all those who offer their time in organizing the set up and fixtures behind the scenes which is a massive part played by Dave, him and the team coaches selecting and putting a side together to fulfil the fixtures and those who put their efforts into supporting every child with coaching. Without all these people the children’s positive developments wouldn’t shine through around the club’s youth set up. I would also like to thank all that supported the team coaches by offering help to score, umpire and offer to transport those who wouldn’t have been able to make the fixture otherwise. Plus, a thank you to Max for setting up pitches for each age group during the busy periods of the season.

The last thank you is to all of you for entrusting Horspath Cricket Club in helping develop your children’s cricket talents and skills and for each boy and girl who have shown outstanding commitment in attending training sessions throughout the summer and transferring this into all the matches they’ve played in. I look forward to seeing you before the Clubs season is over around the clubhouse and can’t wait to see you all again next season.
