Horspath's Bob Chamberlain was delighted to receive the Home Counties Premier Cricket League's 2026 Cliff Pocock Umpire of the Year Award.
He was presented with a glass tankard awarded in memory of the late Bucks Cricket Board chairman and well-respected umpire at the HCPCL Umpires' Annual Meeting at High Wycombe CC.
Bob, who has officiated in 142 HCPCL games, said: "I was both surprised and delighted to receive the award. It always makes it extra special when it comes from your peers."
It completes a full house of umpires' awards for Bob, who was recently named as an Official of the Year at Oxfordshire's 2026 Grassroots Cricket Collective Awards Ceremony at St Edward's School, Oxford.
That came after he received the Cherwell League Umpire of the Year trophy, named in honour of Chris Bishop, at the Kassam Stadium, Oxford back in 2013.
He is also a member of the Horspath Grounds Management Team, who were successful in the Volunteer Ground Team of the Year category at Oxon's 2026 Grassroots Awards.
The club congratulates Bob on his achievements.
