Horspath unveil new Fixtures Board
08 May 2026
Horspath have unveiled their new Fixtures Board ahead of the league season, which gets under way tomorrow.
Situated by the entrance to the Recreation Ground, the board will give details of the upcoming home Saturday fixture each week throughout the Home Counties Premier Cricket League and Cherwell League seasons.
Visitors to the Rec this weekend will see Horspath 2nd's opening Cherwell Division 1 game against Aston Rowant 2nd being advertised.
The club are also delighted to feature new principal sponsor STRONG Pilates Oxford on the board.
Produced by another of the club's sponsors, Cummings Signs, the board has been paid for by the money raised by members who participated in the Toyota Good For Cricket Prize Draw in 2025.
Secretary Russell Smith said: "The aim of the board is threefold. It informs our members and supporters about Saturday fixtures as well as giving exposure to our principal sponsors STRONG Oxford Pilates and raising the profile of the club. We are, as always, indebted to all our sponsors for their support."
While the 2nds entertain Rowant, Horspath open their Home Counties Division 2 programme at Thames Valley League champions Ickenham when the club will play their first competitive white ball match with black sight screens.
Horspath 3rd are at home to Buckingham Town 2nd in Division 3B, while Horspath 4th visit Little Gaddesden in Division 6C.
On Sunday, Horspath are away to Sandford St Martin in the Cawston Press Village Cup second round (1pm).
Meanwhile, Horspath are due to open their Home Counties Women's Cricket League Super 8 Development Group 1 programme on the same afternoon with two home games against Oxford Downs 2nd (1pm and 3.30pm).
The side received two walkovers last weekend when Moreton conceded both games.
