Half-centuries from Dan Corner and Sam Leslie plus Ed Oakley's five-wicket haul helped Horspath 2nd gain the better of the points from a draw against Witney Swifts in Cherwell League Division 2 at West Witney.
Corner top-scored with 74 and Sam Leslie hit his maiden league fifty as the leaders posted 223-9 after being put in to bat.
Corner's fine 114-ball knock included 11 fours as he turned the innings round with Azlan Sharif (38) after Horspath had been in trouble at 38-3.
They put on 79 for the fourth wicket, before Leslie took the visitors to their final total with five fours in his 54 off 67 deliveries. Rob Cartwright (3-46) was Swifts' leading wicket-taker.
Horspath then produced a disciplined display in the field to restrict the hosts to 187-7. Oakley took the first four wickets to fall including skipper George Seacole (59) as Swifts reached 123-4.
Jason Cardy then chipped in with 2-18, stopping Josh Grant in his tracks for 47, before Oakley (5-51) returned to complete his five-wicket haul with Corner claiming his second catch.
However, Perry Tinson (27no) saw Swifts to the close at 187-7 with Horspath coming out on top 16-12 in the points allocation.
The draw sees Horspath's lead at the top cut to 10 points ahead of next Saturday's home game against bottom club Wolverton Town, who lost by 73 runs at home to Tiddington.
Horspath 3rd held out for a draw at bottom club Cumnor 2nd in Division 4B after suffering a dramatic collapse.
Facing the hosts' 225-6 after putting them in to bat, the visitors made a solid start in reply with Alfie Turner and Craig Wharton taking them to 50-0.
But Turner's dismissal for a fluent 30 sparked a clatter of wickets with seven going down for just 11 runs as Horspath slumped to 61-7 with Tom Sherwood (4-29) the chief destroyer.
However, Erasmus Du Toit (34) and Ansh Chande, who displayed great determination and concentration to make an unbeaten 30 from 100 balls, came to the rescue with a stand of 66 for the eighth wicket.
The draw was finally secured at 135-9 with the ninth wicket falling off the last ball of the innings.
Earlier, Horspath had been unable to dislodge Tom Murkett, who hit an unbeaten 98 from 108 balls with 13 fours and four sixes to dominate Cumnor's innings.
Dhishanth Benolin (2-29) and Josh Cummings (2-38) had reduced Cumnor to 71-5 after opener Michael Race made 31.
But then Murkett and Jack Scott (31) put on 87 for the sixth wicket to turn the innings round.
Murkett then added an undefeated 61 with Sherwood for the seventh wicket to take Cumnor to their final total.
The draw sees Horspath drop a spot to third with next up a home game against Chipping Norton, who drew with Challow & Childrey 2nd, on Saturday.
