Tracey Isaac became the first Horspath batter to score a half-century in the Home Counties Women's League.
She hit a superb unbeaten 59 off 70 balls in the side's final Division 3 South game of the season against Freeland West Oxfordshire Warriors at Eynsham.
However, it wasn't enough to bring Horspath victory as the visitors went down by one run on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method (DLS) after the game was washed out early in the Freeland innings.
Tracey's terrific knock, which included three fours, saw the side post 102-6 from their 25 overs after being put in to bat, with Sarah Stallwood (2-16) and Julia Pool (2-23) among the wickets.
Freeland had reached 20-1 off 5.2 overs in reply with Frances Goodliffe making the breakthrough when the ground was hit by a downpour meaning no further play was possible. But crucially the hosts just had the edge on DLS to take the spoils.
Tracey, with 134 runs, was one of two Horspath batters to finish in the division's top 10 batters along with captain Munaza Dogar (122).
In their previous game, Horspath found champions Steventon too strong, going down by 10 wickets.
The visitors were 75 all out after choosing to bat with only Victoria Montgomery making double figures as Hannah Willett took 4-10. Nicole Harper (34no) then steered Steventon to victory at 76-0.
A week earlier, a high-scoring encounter at Sonning saw the home side triumph by 84 runs with opener Rita Green making an unbeaten 141.
She hit 27 fours in her sparkling 110-ball innings to take the hosts to 259-1 after they were put in to bat.
Green shared a stand of 184 with Elinor Longridge (39), before Tracey made the breakthrough.
Horspath staged a spirited reply to close on 175-7. Munaza top-scored with 47 from 46 balls, sharing a fourth-wicket stand of 63 with Sophia Pavlides (32) after Victoria made 20, while Bernadette Urtz finished unbeaten on 18. Grace Phillips (3-23) was the pick of the Sonning attack.
In the inaugural Oxfordshire Women's Hundred, Horspath Hurricanes finished third in Group A.
Having won their opening two games against Freeland and Oxenford, Horspath's unbeaten run ended when Oxford Romans, who went on to top the section, prevailed by 83 runs at the Recreation Ground.
Captain Genny Porter scored an unbeaten 114 from 61 deliveries to take the visitors to 189-3 after they chose to bat. Milla Allison and Frances took a wicket apiece, while Irum Ibrahim bowled tidily, conceding 23 runs from 20 balls.
Rabiya Dogar, who had hit an unbeaten 98 and 84 not out in the first two matches and finished as the group's leading batter with 213 runs, top-scored with 21 as the Hurricanes replied with 106-6. Eletta Sharman taking 3-7.
Horspath's final group game saw hosts Charlbury triumph by 68 runs.
The home side posted 126-8 after electing to bat with Sophia (2-10), Frances (2-13) and Abigail Wallace (2-19) among the wickets. Captain Abi Flory (34) and opener Rebecca Woodnorth (26) led the way for Charlbury.
The Hurricanes were then bowled out for 58, with the wickets shared around.
With the campaign now over, Horspath are encouraged by the progress that's been made, are looking forward to the indoor season and to recruiting more players for next year. For more information email: hcc.women@hotmail.com
