It's all systems go for Horspath's Charity Fun Tape Ball Cricket Six-A-Side Competition at the Recreation Ground on Sunday (August 25).
With more than 60 people signed up to take part, 10 teams have so far been selected with scope for two more, so it's not too late to get involved with the competition open to members, friends and family (you don't have to be a cricketer).
All players will be wearing coloured shirts kindly sponsored by Newtrim UK in the event, which is a fundraiser for Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
TVAA is the chosen charity as the club lost two prominent members earlier this year in Max Eason, who was attended to by their paramedics, while Tommy Pritchard was airlifted to hospital.
The itinerary for the day is as follows:
12noon Register (£5 donation per player in aid of charity)
12.30 Play starts
6pm Play ends & Presentations
6.15 Live music with WipeOut
With thanks to those who have donated some fantastic prizes there will also be a raffle and auction to raise funds for TVAA.
Organisers ask all those taking part and attending the event to please bring cash, especially for when registering to play and the raffle (card transactions will be accepted for auction items).
With the bar open from lunchtime and a BBQ lined up, please come along and support the club in Sunday's fundraising charity venture.
