Eyles blasts terrific ton for Horspath 2nd

TYRONE Eyles smashed a brilliant century as Horspath 2nd stormed to an emphatic eight-wicket win at home to Tiddington in Cherwell League Division 1.
Chasing Tiddington's 194 all out after the visitors had chosen to bat, Eyles made the most of being promoted to open by hammering 101 off 96 balls to set Horspath on the way to victory at 195-2.
His stunning innings included 15 fours and four sixes as he shared an opening stand of 153 with Christopher Hofen (72no) before falling lbw.
Hofen was also in terrific form, cracking 14 boundaries in his 92-ball knock to see Horspath home.
Earlier, Ed Oakley took 4-29 in Tiddington's innings with Subhan Javaid picking up 2-26 as the visitors were indebted to Nick Pykett (41) and Ryan Chapman (32) for their final total after being reduced to 81-6.
Last man Andy Cummings rolled back the years with some lusty blows as Horspath 3rd claimed a thrilling one-wicket at home to Bletchley Town in Division 3A.
Cummings smashed two sixes - including the winning hit - in an unbeaten 20 off 11 balls to bring Horspath victory at 121-9 after they had put the visitors in to bat and bowled them out for 118.
He shared an unbroken last-wicket stand of 26 with Jason Cardy, who was unbeaten on 16 as the points were secured.
Horspath had earlier toiled against Idrees Butt, who bowled throughout to take 6-48 from 21 overs, with good support from Joaquim Moreira (3-43).
Cardy starred in Bletchley's innings with 4-17 from 10 overs, while Anoop Reddy took 2-19 and Cummings 2-24 with only Ahmad Ali (42) showing any resistance.
Veteran left-arm spinner Robin Pykett claimed a five-wicket haul as Horspath 4th increased their lead at the top of Division 6A to 14 points with an eight-wicket win at Bletchley Town 2nd.
Pykett bamboozled Bletchley with 5-29 as the hosts were bowled out for 125 after being put in to bat.
Captain Phil Rusling (37) and Musa Khan shared an opening stand of 61, before Pykett joined old sparring partner Adrian Manger (3-26) to work their way through the order.
Skipper Craig Wharton (37) and Jonty Hedges (32) then set Horspath on the way to victory with 62 for the first wicket. It was left to Azlan Sharif (35no) and James Crook (21no) to see the visitors home at 129-2.
