A Ground Working Party has been arranged for Saturday, October 3 from 9am onwards (with Sunday, October 4 as a reserve day if required) to carry out vital works on the Rec.
It's crucial numerous tasks are completed this weekend as contracted work to improve the Recreation Ground is due to start w/c Monday, October 5.
This will not only involve the pitches on the main square on the front pitch but also the outfields on both grounds. To allow these works to take place the grounds need to be cleared of sight screens, covers, boundary ropes etc.
Also starting on October 5, the club has arranged for works to take place in the Scout Hut to upgrade the showers and toilets. To allow these works to take place everything will need to be cleared in that area to allow full access.
In addition there are many other end-of-season tasks that need carrying out on the grounds and in the Clubroom.
So, if you can spare a few hours to help out on October 3 it would be much appreciated.
